Save the Dates!

I am as giddy as a little school girl with a crush! I mailed the Save the Dates on Monday. I am so happy to get that done with. i really wanted to get them mailed out at the 6th month mark but addresses were hard to come by. I still have about 14 to mail and I will do that over the next two weeks. I am such a nerd that I even took a picture of me mailing the Save the Dates! I must have looked crazy since there was a short line behind me at the mailboxes! But I needed to document this moment:)

Other then mailing the Save The Dates, i also blocked off the hotel rooms and made some finishing touches on the wedding website. It isn't done yet but there is enough information for the guest at this moment. We did have a meeting with the caterer this weekend but since we are moving into a new apartment, I had to push is back to next week. Which I think is for the best. After we get the caterer booked it is on to the florist and then vendors are done!

As for my weight lose goal, I feel like I am doing really good. I am almost done with my week month of P90x and I feel great! I can't wait to weigh myself on Friday. i will of course write more about that after the first weigh in and my overall review of the first month of the program....once I have the time and actually finish the first month. Until next time!

P90x

I can't really believe it myself but I started P90x last week. I am currently on day 9 of the Lean program. I actually enjoy most of the workouts, legs and back! The yoga is pretty intense and after 90 minutes it takes a beating on you. I couldn't believe how much I was sweating at the end! Right now Cardio X is my favorite. It has yoga, kick boxing and strength. I was worried about starting the program but I have to say I am doing pretty good so far. In the program you are not able to check your weight for the first 30 days. FI had me step on a scale last night to check my weight but I had to close my eyes. And lets just says that he has one hell of a poker face! I have no idea if I gained or lost. The program also comes with a meal plan but I am really not able to follow it. I can't eat dairy or veggies. I also don't like fish so that doesn't leave much in the meal plan. I eat healthy and try my best to eat healthy. It's not always easy but I a proud of myself:) I don't have before pictures on my computer right now but I will post them soon! Goal is to fit into my wedding dress in 6 months! Wish me luck!

Bridal Show Review-1/16/11

Just got back from the gym and I am tired! I decided to do my HIIT workout which kicks my butt everytime! But right now my goal is to get to the gym 3 days a week. I usually go Mondays after work also but between the blizzard and all the walking around at the bridal show on Sunday I was down for the count. Now time to talk about the bridal show:)

I have to say this was the largest bridal show I have ever been to. It took 3 hours to walk around and talk to the vendors that I still needs. But lets start from the beginning. Parking was $6 and that was not a good start to it. Things got better when the tickets were only $5. For this bridal show I was on a mission. I needed a few more CP idea's, transportation, cake ideas, caterer and photobooth. They didn't have a ton of CP idea's but the other they had more then more of. I did find one CP idea that I did like. My faithful birdal show buddy along with me, who is helping with the CP's, had me taking a few photos. Here they are:

I got the feeling that pictures were not something that I should be doing but like I said, mission. I also found a few cake ideas. My mom is making the cake but I need idea's on how I want it to look. I found a few idea's. I like the way the flowers are in this one:
But the best part of everything was I finally booked the photobooth!!! I can't even remember how many photobooths I looked into. I did a lot of research on this for sure. I do have a photo of some of the photobooth pictures:)

Overall, I found the bridal show really helpful. I got somje great information and will be contacting caterers this week.

Start of 2011

So far I am off to a pretty good New year. I have been doing good at eating healthy and making sure that I track everything I eat on Myplate. I am really proud that I did it 3 days in a row so far. I have made it to the gym once this week, which is pretty good since I have had a busy week. Tomorrow I am meeting with my work out buddy and we are going to get our workout plans started. I can't wait!!!

I mailed myself my STD and it came back to me in great condition. The barcode that the Post Office puts on the bottom did not cover up the wedding website address!!!! i was a little worried that it would but everything can back great. I am currently working on the cardbox and WE DO letters for the cake table. I will take picture of the process and make sure to post them.

Can't wait to play Just Dance tomorrow!!!

New Year, New DIY

Happy New Year! 2011 is finally here and yes, that's the year that I get married:) New Year's Eve was nothing grand, watched a movie and relaxed, which is what I needed. I really do not have a new years resolution but I have a few goals, is that the same thing? First and foremost, I need to work on relaxing and not stressing out so much. Second, I want to be heathly and active. A friend and I are going to be work out buddy's and help eachother stay motivated and get active. We are meeting on Thursday to set a game plan and maybe play "Just Dance" on the Wii.

Wedding related, not that much to report. I couldn't sleep on night a couple weeks back and decided to design the STD's. I am very proud of myself. I can't believe I did it all by myself, well and the help of my knotties:) I knew I wanted a calendar STD with a picture of FI and me. After searching designs I found a few that I really liked. The overall process was hard but still easier then I thought it would be. I used Publisher to design them. I first broke the design into 4 text boxes and went from there. The first one I designed was simple and clean but FI wasn't crazy about the colors so I changed it. Here is the first one:

Please excuse my my bad paint job to block out the last names:)Now the final product...

The back has our wedding website and a nice quote that I used to fill some space. I made it looked faded in the back ground. The quote is:
The day is fast approaching
and we can hardly wait
we want you to be with us
so please be sure to save the date!

I think it was a nice touch and filled the empty space. I uploaded the images to Vista Prints, used the 100 free postcards and paid for express shipping(because I could want to see them), the total was $24. The next test is to mail one to myself and make sure that any sort of printing the post office does on the postcard doesn't cover up the wedding website. Wish me luck!

Happy New year...Now time to get some DIY done!
